Viscofan Group releases its January-June 2026 results
29/July/2026

Main conclusions and results from January-June 2026

• Revenue for the first half of the year reached €629.8 million, a 1.8% increase year-on-year, driven by growth in casing volumes. On a like-for-like  basis, revenue grew by 4.8% year-on-year.

• EBITDA for the first half of the year was €134.5 million, down 7.4% year-on-year due to the impact of exchange rate fluctuations. However, on a like-for-like basis, EBITDA grew by 3.1% year-on-year against a backdrop of rising raw-material and energy costs.

• Net profit reached €71.3 million in the first half of the year, up 2.2% year-on-year.

• Net bank debt as of June 2026 stood at €283.3 million (€206.1 million as of December 2025) including €81.9 million of cashflows from the share buyback carried out under the flexible remuneration program and the share buyback plan completed in February 2026, and the payment of €25.1 million in June to shareholders who have opted to receive the final dividend in cash.

• According to José Antonio Canales, CEO of the Viscofan Group:

“The market continues to show strong growth opportunities in all geographic regions, which Viscofan is capturing thanks to its global presence and capacity investments. This growth coexists with a more demanding cost environment as a result of the crisis in the Middle East and geopolitical tensions that have significantly increased some raw material, energy, and transportation costs.

Our plants are operating at high levels of efficiency and generating savings, although it is necessary to maintain adequate commercial discipline which has led us to implement price increases across our customer base with the aim of delivering our financial targets, with EBITDA expected to be at the lower end of the guidance range.

On the other hand, the main investment initiatives remain on track, notably the capacity expansions in cellulose casings (Mexico) and in collagen casings (USA) to meet the expected demand for next year.”
